Sing into
Your Teeth
Aiming your sound directly into the back of your upper front teeth is a
great way to “pull” your voice, and your resonance, further forward in
your head, which is a terrific and easy way to make more sound and
sound better instantly. But since you don’t have a target painted
on the back of your upper front teeth, try this instead: pucker
your lips and say “Ooh.” Do this continuously for a few
seconds. Aim the sound directly at the back of your top front
teeth. You will feel a slight tingle, or vibration on the back of
your front teeth as the sound waves pass. This is
resonance! If you sing straight into your front teeth all the
time, you will create resonance. You will sing more easily with less
physical effort required to make the sound.
