Wiggle your toes!

One of the best ways to practice difficult phrases or notes in a song is to sing them while wiggling your toes.  It’s silly, but true.  The reason this works is that it gets your attention off of what you are singing and puts it onto another part of you body.  This is great for tackling notes that drive you crazy, like the high ones.  Try this:  pick a phrase in a song that challenges you and sing it while wiggling your toes.  You may have to repeat it three or four times to coordinate the whole thing, but you should notice that it gets easier to sing the phrase (and you’ll get better at wiggling your toes!)
